In later life Dad worked exhaustively with Tamil and international organisations to shine a light on the suffering in Sri Lanka. Some of this work is captured in a book that I later published for Dad : Sri Lanka - Where was the World?
Across over 500 pages the book collected his articles, editorials and letters to Pope John Paul the second, Barack Obama, Ban Ki-Moon, Gordon Brown, Jose Manuel Barroso, Manmohan Singh and many, many others. He challenged the Director General of the BBC, the Washington Post, The Times and other news outlets as well as leading N.G.Os - like Amnesty International.
His voice still clearly rings out from each page and best captures his spirit, his passion and his energy. His Introduction on page 7 eloquently sets this out.
